SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY – SUMMER 2026
Position: Accounting Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)
Contract Term: June 15, 2026 – August 14, 2026
Hours: 28 hours per week (4 working days at 7 hours per day)
Pay Rate: $21/hour + 4% vacation pay
Job Description:
The Accounting Assistant provides support to the school’s administrative and business offices at Richmond Christian School during the summer break.
Responsibilities include front desk operations such as answering phone inquiries, coordinating and receiving deliveries, processing and verifying supply orders, and managing email and letter correspondence. The role also involves archiving records and supporting the transition of paper records into electronic formats.
In addition, the Accounting Assistant performs basic accounting tasks, including processing scholarships and completing payment requisitions. There will also be opportunities to contribute to special projects, such as data management initiatives.
Knowledge of Mandarin and/or Cantonese is considered an asset to better serve the school community.
This position offers valuable hands-on experience in business administration, records management, finance, and accounting, as well as exposure to office systems and professional workplace practices.
